Mohamed Ismail Mansour

Mohamed Ismail Mansour is co-founder and CEO of Infinity, a leading renewable energy solutions provider in Egypt, and the Chairman of Infinity Power, a joint venture between Masdar and Infinity which is the largest African renewable energy company today.

Mansour incorporated Infinity Capital in 2011, and co-founded Infinity in 2014, the only dedicated renewable energy solutions provider in Egypt, that develops clean energy solutions across several sectors and scales. At Infinity, Mansour has played a key role in scaling the company from a small solar start-up to becoming Egypt’s largest renewable energy company providing solar, wind, green hydrogen, waste-to-energy and water desalination solutions as well as being the largest electric vehicle (EV) charging network in the country.

Through Infinity Group, Mansour has spearheaded the creation of Infinity Power in 2020, a joint venture with Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), Infinity Power develops utility-scale solar and wind projects in Africa. Through this JV, Mansour has lead Infinity Power’s acquisition of Lekela Power in Africa’s biggest renewable energy deal in 2023, creating the largest renewable energy company in the continent.

Today the company’s total capacity of operational projects is 1.3GW with another 13.8 GW of projects in the pipeline at different stages of development.

Mansour also plays a key role in Palm Hills Developments as Deputy Chairman. Since 1997, Palm Hills Developments became an ever-growing leader in integrated residential, commercial and resorts projects. Today, it possesses one of the largest and most diversified land banks in Egypt, spreading 29 million sqm and an impressive roster of 34 projects in West Cairo, East Cairo, Alexandria and North Coast.

Mansour started his professional career as a third generation Mansour family member at McDonald’s Egypt, one of the Mansour family group companies, in January 1998. Since then, Mansour has helped grow McDonald’s Egypt, from 30 stores and EGP 150 million in revenues to currently over 180 stores and over EGP 4 billion in revenues.

He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Babson College in Wellesley, MA.


 
Nayer Fouad
CEO, Infinity Power
Co-Founder and CEO, Infinity

Nayer Fouad is the co-founder of Infinity, the leading renewable energy solutions provider in Egypt and Africa, and Managing Partner of Infinity Power, a joint venture between Infinity and Masdar. Fouad co-founded Infinity in 2014, playing a key role in scaling the company from a small start-up to becoming the largest renewable energy company in Egypt today. As a part of his role at Infinity, he has been responsible for developing meticulously planned renewable energy solutions across scales and technologies.

He has been instrumental in leading teams to close and deliver the first and only PV plot in Benban, Aswan under the FIT Round 1 guidelines with non-recourse financing, on time, while adhering to world-class specifications. The team under his leadership stayed the course by delivering four more plots in FIT Round 2.

Fouad has contributed immensely in building partnerships with major investors, world-class partners and global experts to deliver exponential growth. He has also played a pertinent role in the continued success, growth and expansion of Infinity EV, and under his guidance, Infinity EV has built the largest EV charging network in Egypt.

Furthermore, Fouad has been at the forefront of Infinity’s expansion into new markets in Africa. He has been actively involved in spearheading the company's expansion efforts across the continent, leading to the establishment of Infinity Power in collaboration with Masdar, in 2020. Through this joint venture, Fouad played a pivotal role in the acquisition of Lekela Power, which marked Africa's biggest renewable energy deal in 2023.

This transaction propelled Infinity Power to become the largest renewable energy company on the continent.

Previously, Fouad co-founded a construction firm, IND, for residential, commercial and development projects in 2009. The firm has now become the construction arm of Infinity, building over 230 MW of solar projects in the Africa’s biggest solar park to date in Benban Aswan, Egypt. In 1998, he also established Arkitech, an independent architecture, planning and interior design firm in Cairo, specializing in residential, commercial, leisure, and urban development projects modeled around his own contemporary vision. Fouad was born and raised in Paris, France and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University. He also has a Master’s Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris.


 
Abdulaziz Alobaidli
Chief Operating Officer,
Masdar

Abdulaziz has rejoined Masdar as Chief Operating Officer in 2023 to oversee the delivery and operations of its renewable portfolio, as well as Engineering, Supply Chain and Energy Services. Mr. Alobaidli previously served as general manager at Masdar subsidiary, the Shams Po​wer Company, from 2015 to 2018.

Mr. Alobaidli had worked for TAQA since 2018, leading its domestic Power and Water generation business, where he oversaw a portfolio with a capacity of  22.4 gigawatts and 1,120 million imperial gallons per day. With over 16 years' experience in the energy and utilities business, including renewables, Mr. Alobaidli has served on the boards

of directors of several generation and water desalination companies across the UAE and the Middle East. Over the course of his career, Mr. Alobaidli has been involved in a number of landmark renewable projects, including the Shams 1 CSP project, Noor Abu Dhabi PV project and, most recently, the Al Dhafra PV project. Mr. Alobaidli earned an M.Sc in Energy Engineering (specializing in power plant technology) from RWTH Aachen University in Germany and a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from UAE University. He received the Emirates Energy Award in 2013 and was a member of the Zayed Future Energy Prize Review Committee.


 
Abdulla Zayed
Director of Development & Investment for Asia and Africa at Masdar

Abdulla Zayed is Director of Development & Investment for Asia and Africa at Masdar. He is responsible for implementing Masdar’s growth strategy by overseeing the company’s business and project origination, development, and investment activities for utility-scale clean energy projects in Asia Pacific, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and Africa.

In addition, in his capacity as CEO of  MW Energy, he manages a joint venture between Masdar and W Solar, a subsidiary of Alpha Dhabi Holding, to expand the renewable energy portfolio of both companies globally. Within Masdar and MW Energy, Mr. Zayed currently manages a pipeline of projects of more than 30 gigawatts in over 35 countries in Asia Pacific, CIS, and Africa. He plays a leading role in directing and defining    MW Energy and Masdar’s strategy.

He is also responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and leveraging strategic partnerships with local and international developers.

Mr. Zayed joined Masdar in 2009 as a financial and commercial analyst and also worked as a quality engineer during the construction of the100MW Shams 1 plant. In 2012, he joined the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi and rejoined Masdar in 2016 as a business development manager before assuming his current leadership roles within Masdar and MW Energy.

Mr. Zayed attended the UAE Higher Colleges of Technology, graduating as a mechanical engineering 2009 and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management in 2012.


 
Sameh Shenouda
Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer Africa Finance Corporation

Sameh Shenouda is Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Africa Finance Corporation. He leads origination, execution and portfolio management of transactions across a wide range of sectors and products at AFC.

With over 27 years of experience in infrastructure investments, project development and fundraising in international capital markets, Mr. Shenouda has a deep knowledge of African markets as well as the Power, Transport & Logistics and Oil & Gas sectors.

Prior to joining AFC, Sameh was the Chief Executive Officer of Zarou, a developer, owner, investor and operator of infrastructure projects in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, that is 100% owned by The Blackstone Group. Mr. Shenouda previously spent 5 years as Head of Infrastructure at CDC Group Plc, the UK’s development finance institution.

He built the institution’s direct infrastructure equity business, investing in excess of US$2 billion in Africa and South Asia. His earlier experience also includes Natural Gas Industries Director at Orascom Construction Industries and Investment Principal at Actis. Confidential.

Sameh holds an MBA in Financial Management from the University of Exeter, UK and degrees from the American University in Cairo, Egypt in Development Studies and Economics.  He is also a graduate of INSEAD’s International Executive Program.

Ahmed Mulla
Deputy CEO

Ahmed Mulla has been working in the international renewable energy industry for over twenty years and is driven by a singular vision of delivering affordable, sustainable, clean power to the masses.

Mulla started his career in Venture Capital before turning to renewables, where he worked as an R&D engineer, an engineering consultant, a strategist, a project manager, a development director exploring new market opportunities in Africa, MENA region, CIS countries and beyond, at big names in the industry including E.on Climate & Renewables, FRV, Scatec Solar, and Masdar.

Mulla has a Masters in Arts, a Masters in Engineering, and a Bachelors (with Honours) in Electrical, Electronic and Information Systems Engineering from the University of Cambridge.


 
Fabian Cazares
Chief Financial Officer

Fabian Cazares, an Executive MBA graduate with distinction from the University of Oxford, brings over 20 years of experience across renewable energy, private equity, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. He has led mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and restructuring, aligning financial performance with sustainability goals.

At Actis' BTE Renewables, Fabian managed ~$1 billion in assets. He played a crucial role in its acquisition by Engie—one of Africa’s largest renewable energy exits—driving operational efficiency and sustainable growth.

As Infinity Power’s CFO, Fabian focuses on optimizing financial strategies, securing project financing, and enhancing governance. With expertise in managing risks and building strong stakeholder relationships, he ensures Infinity Power advances the clean energy transition while creating lasting value for investors and communities.


 
Joachim Altpeter
Chief Operating Officer

Joachim Altpeter has over 25 years of P&L responsibility and leadership in the renewable energy industry and a deep understanding of global solar and wind energy markets.

He disposes of extensive PV solar, Wind and Battery Storage project development and execution experience across Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and U.S.. He has a profound technical and financial understanding of the Renewable Energy industry.

His wide network comprises of project developers and suppliers as well as EPC and financing institutions alike.

Altpeter is now responsible for managing the overall execution of new projects and the asset management of the existing portfolio projects. He is also involved in the strategic business development of Infinity Power. His passion is to make renewable energy projects real.


 
Bernard Kiernan
Chief Investment Officer

Bernard has been working in the Energy and Infrastructure space for over 20 years starting his career with KBC Project Finance, focused on PPP, infrastructure and energy projects throughout Europe.

Bernard has worked in the African renewable energy sector since 2009. During his time with Mainstream Renewable Power, Bernard lead commercial activities in South Africa, successfully closing 850MW of wind and solar projects as part of the REIPPP program. He played a key role in the establishment and growth of Lekela Power, closing Lekela’s wind farms in Egypt and Senegal. 

Following the acquisition of Lekela by Infinity Power, Bernard has assumed the role of Chief Investment Officer with responsibility for Business Development activities across the group.


 
Ashish Ranjan
Chief Technical Officer

Ashish Ranjan is an esteemed technology executive with over 15 years of extensive international experience in the renewable energy sector, spanning project development, construction, and operations.

As a dynamic leader, he has successfully driven energy business growth and spearheaded technical functions at renowned organizations like Vestas, Enel Green Power, DNV, and ACWA Power. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Infinity Power Holding, Ashish's visionary approach and profound expertise have significantly contributed to the company's success and innovation in the renewables industry.

With a strong educational foundation in Electrical Engineering from VIT University, India, Ashish possesses an in-depth understanding of the intricate nuances of the renewable energy domain. His vast knowledge and proven track record make him a valuable asset in shaping the future of sustainable energy solutions


 
Chris Jackson
Chief Legal Officer

Chris has worked in project finance and development for 20 years with a particular focus on African power and infrastructure development. Chris brings a wealth of experience on the legal aspects of project finance, development and construction from all perspectives having worked in private in with Clifford Chance in Paris, Webber Wentzel in Johannesburg and in-house with the IFC in Washington DC and as General Counsel of the Black Rhino Group.

As Chief Legal Officer, Chris is responsible for all legal activities across the IPH Group including, project development and finance, corporate administration, compliance, and insurance.
