How our community
investments are
changing lives
In Egypt, we are engaging with the rural
through employment families that live in the area 50km north
of our West Bakr wind farm and exploring
ways we can benefit them. We are working
and enterprise with 20 women from the community to help
them sell their tapestry and handicrafts to
local markets. Through our subcontractors,
we employ four from the community as
security guards at our site. Eye health can
be a challenge when living in extreme desert
conditions, so we have also offered free eye
tests and treatment for all members of the
community, including providing sunglasses
for children.
